Hi, I’m Colleen. I’ve been making art my whole life. From the joy of a new box of 64 Crayola’s (with the sharpener!), to the how cool am I, I’m taking classes at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, to my freshman year as an art major at the University of Illinois where I decided maybe art is not for me, to the watercolor class that brought me back to my art.  

Through all this, my level of focus has ebbed and flowed. And now, after discovering the Art2Life world and a program called the Creative Visionary Program, I’m back to flowing. In addition to watercolor, I’ve added acrylics and collage to my repertoire.

But despite the level of my artistic focus or the medium I use, the one thing that has remained constant in my life and art is dogs. I love dogs and I love to feature them in my art. I think its because of how they make me feel. Safe, loved, happy. And, don’t we all need more of that in our lives.
